Web Search & Web Read — AI Agents Go Online

AI agents on Fedna AI were already smart — they had your knowledge base, your custom skills, your playbooks. But when a customer asked about something you hadn't documented? The agent was stuck. Not anymore.

Web Search

Your AI agent can now run a live web search mid-conversation. When a customer asks a question that falls outside your uploaded knowledge — a competitor comparison, a regulation, a current event, a public specification — the agent searches the web, reads the results, and responds with real information.

Web Read

The agent can also read a specific web page when given a URL or when it finds a relevant link during search. It extracts the content, understands it, and uses it to answer the customer's question — no copy-pasting, no "let me get back to you."

Built-in system skills

Web Search and Web Read are system skills — they're available to every AI agent out of the box with no configuration. You don't need to create an HTTP skill, wire up API keys, or define request formats. They just work.

When the agent uses them

The agent decides on its own when to search — you don't need to tell it. If the customer's question is answered by the knowledge base, the agent uses the knowledge base. If not, it goes to the web. The fallback is intelligent, not desperate.

What it changes

Your AI agent is no longer limited to what you've uploaded. It can handle the long tail — the obscure question, the "what's the latest on X", the "can you check this link for me" — without falling back to "I don't have information about that."
