WhatsApp Conversation Intelligence

24 February 2026·2 min read

A collection of improvements that make AI conversations on WhatsApp feel natural and human — not robotic.

Voice note processing

When a customer sends a voice note, the AI listens, understands, and responds appropriately. No more ignoring voice messages or asking customers to type instead.

Reactions

Send and receive WhatsApp message reactions. When a customer reacts to a message with an emoji, it shows in your inbox. Your team can react to customer messages from the inbox too.

Typing indicators

When the AI is processing a response, the customer sees the familiar "typing..." indicator in WhatsApp. This sets expectations and makes the conversation feel live.

Natural message pacing

AI responses are delivered with a configurable typing delay — mimicking the natural pace of human typing. Long responses are split into multiple messages, the way a real person would send them, rather than arriving as one giant block of text.

Smart message batching

When a customer sends multiple messages in quick succession (as people often do on WhatsApp), the AI waits for them to finish before responding. No more getting a reply to the first message while you're still typing the second.

Media from the inbox

Team members in human takeover mode can now send images and documents directly from the inbox — not just text.

The result

These aren't flashy features. They're the small details that determine whether a customer thinks they're talking to a helpful assistant or an obvious bot. Together, they make a meaningful difference in conversation quality and customer trust.
